Initié une première fois en 2007 par le commissaire et performeur Francis O’Shaughnessy, ce festival d’envergure a suscité un intérêt majeur auprès de la communauté du Saguenay Lac Saint-Jean et d’ailleurs.
Du 01 au 03 octobre ont performé, dans le majestueux environnement de la Pulperie de Chicoutimi, des artistes provenant de l’Espagne, la Suisse, l’Allemagne, la Thaïlande, du Mexique et du Canada. Dix-neuf artistes qui, à travers les soirées performances, les conférences, les activités satellites nous ont présenté leur vision de l’indétermination.
En 2009, ART NOMADE s’articulait autour de la thématique de l’indétermination. Les artistes ont eu le privilège de nous faire vivre l’art corporel à son apogée à travers un art action qui questionne la notion de l’imprévu, les atmosphères de mystère ainsi que les paniques réelles véhiculées par les performeurs et leur audience.
C’est au Lobe qu’ont eu lieu la soirée conférence et le LobeScène.

Plusieurs organismes et partenaires de la région ont appuyé notre projet : Promotion Saguenay, la Pulperie de Chicoutimi, le Collège d’Alma, Langage Plus, Espace Virtuel, La Pulperie de Chicoutimi, Sporobole, Le Lieu, centre en art actuel, Musée de Masteuiash, RAIQ, Terrain Vague, l’Université du Québec à Chicoutimi et les députés locaux (Stéphane Bédard et Sylvain Gaudreault du Parti Québécois ainsi que Robert Bouchard du Bloc Québécois). Nous avons fait le nécessaire afin que les artistes obtiennent de l’aide financière de la part du conseil des arts de leur pays : Espana cooperacion cultural exterior (Espagne) et Prochelvetia (Suisse).

The artist-run center Le Lobe organizes the 2nd edition of edition of this exceptional event which will take place mainly in Chicoutimi and elsewhere in the province of Quebec (Canada) from October 1st to October 23rd 2009.
Le Lobe is an artist-run center whose activities are dedicated to receiving artists in residence. Le Lobe aims to be a laboratory for artististic enquiry and experimentations in every field of contemporary visual art. However, the center professes a preference for alternative, hybrid and innovative pratices and risky projects which give a rise to reflection on the place and modes of the exhibition of arts. Le Lobe aims to stay flexible and like to collaborate in a spontaneous way. The artist-run center is also concerned about collaborating and projects that imply young artists.
Art Nomade 2009 will encourage discussion and exchange, focusing on current pratice, historical evolution and critics of performance art in Saguenay Lac-St Jean with other guests. All guest artists will have to realize their work respecting the theme : the indetermination.
